When should my child first see a dentist?
By age 1 or when the first tooth appears—whichever comes first. Early visits = easier habits.
What happens at the first visit?
A friendly hello, gentle cleaning and fluoride, an exam (x-rays only if needed), and a clear plan. We explain everything in kid-friendly terms.
Do you offer laughing gas?
Yes—nitrous oxide helps anxious kiddos relax. It’s mild, wears off quickly, and kids remain awake and responsive.
What if my child can’t complete treatment in-office?
We offer hospital dentistry (with an anesthesiologist) for comprehensive care in one visit when that’s the safest, least-stress option.
Do you see children with special healthcare needs?
Absolutely. We meet each child where they are—with patience, flexibility, and respect.
Do you take my insurance?
Coverage varies, but we’ll help with claims and estimates. Payment is due at time of service, and we submit claims as a courtesy.
Thumb sucking or grinding—should I worry?
Thumb/pacifier use is common; aim to phase out before adult teeth arrive. Grinding is also common and often temporary—we’ll monitor and advise.
What do I do in a dental emergency?
Call our office and follow the voicemail instructions. For a knocked-out adult tooth, handle by the crown, gently rinse, place back in the socket (or in milk), and come in ASAP.
